Delft Data Science (DDS) has united 10 core research groups with expertise in the field of Data Science.
Successful collaborations of DDS within the TU Delft, and beyond, have solidified.
Innovative and ground-breaking approaches to address the challenges of big data have provided a fruitful foundation for new insights to accelerate, and extend upon.
It is with pleasure that we invite you to the Delft Data Science New Year Event, which takes place Monday January 13, 2014. Our researchers and partners will give you a unique glimpse into their expertise, future endeavours within Delft Data Science and their contribution to the excellent Dutch big data research cloud.
The Delft Data Science New Year Event 2014 will illustrate the many facets of Data Science research conducted at TU Delft. Here, you can see for yourself how to reveal the hidden value of complex data.

15:30 Peter Hofstee - Design of hardware optimised for Big Data
15:50 Demo session. You will pass by several demos seeing up-close what Delft Data Science research entails. Demos amongst others by Birna van Riemsdijk heterogeneous information processing, Hayley Hung automated human behaviour modelling, Geert-Jan Houben social web data analytics, Alan Hanjalic multimedia information retrieval, Koen Bertels adaptive computer architecture.
